Return Policy

To initiate a return request, please contact us via email at info@byilariaromeo.com within 2 days of receiving your garment.

In your email, please advise whether you are requesting an exchange or a store credit note.

If you believe your garment is faulty, please include clear images and a detailed description of the fault upon initial contact.

Once your return request has been approved, we will provide you with our return address. Approved items must be returned to us within 7 working days from the date of email confirmation. Returns received outside this timeframe will not be accepted.

RETURN ELIGIBILITY
by iLARIA ROMEO does not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases. Refunds are only provided if a garment is deemed faulty.
If you wish to return an item due to a change of mind, you will be eligible for either:

  • an online store credit note, or
  • an exchange.

If exchanging for a higher-value garment, the price difference must be paid.
If exchanging for a lower-value garment, the difference will be refunded.

To be eligible for a return, garments must:

  • be in brand new condition, exactly as received
  • have all original tags attached
  • be unworn, unwashed, and returned in original packaging
  • not have been altered or damaged
  • be free from odours, including deodorant or perfume
  • be free from makeup, fake tan, food or drink stains
  • include proof of purchase

by iLARIA ROMEO reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange if items are deemed worn, altered, damaged, or stained in any way.

If a return is rejected, the customer is responsible for covering return shipping costs for the item to be sent back.

To ensure garments remain eligible for return, we recommend:

  • Avoid applying fragrances, body oils, or moisturisers before trying garments on
  • Avoid contact with makeup or fake tan
  • Take care when wearing jewellery to prevent snagging or damage

COLOUR DISCLAIMER
Colours displayed on our website and social media may vary slightly due to differences in screen settings, lighting, flash photography, and device displays. While we make every effort to accurately represent each garment’s colour in its description, slight variations may occur.

Additionally, minor colour variations may result from fabric sourcing, where a new batch of fabric is used. These variations are considered normal.
Colour variation is not considered a manufacturing fault, and will not be accepted as a reason for refund.
If you are unsure about a garment’s colour, please contact us. prior to purchasing.

FABRICATION DISCLAIMER
Pattern placement and detailing may vary slightly from the sample images displayed online. Garments featuring lace, beading, feathers, 3D florals, or hand-applied embellishments may show minor variations due to fabrication batches and the handmade nature of production.
Each garment is crafted individually with exceptional care and attention to detail.
Feathers are applied by hand using delicate techniques; some feather shedding over time is natural and unavoidable.
Fabrication variations are not considered manufacturing faults and will not be accepted as a reason for refund.

CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the garment is deemed faulty. If a fault is confirmed, return postage costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of proof of payment.

All returned items must be sent via a registered postal or courier service. Please email your tracking number to info@byilariaromeo.com once dispatched.
We strongly recommend sending a photo of the tracking receipt to avoid errors.

If a return parcel is lost or damaged in transit, it is the customer’s responsibility to resolve this with the courier. by iLARIA ROMEO is not liable for items not received and cannot issue an exchange or credit note for lost parcels.

CONSUMER GUARANTEE
In accordance with consumer guarantees, by iLARIA ROMEO will provide a full refund if a garment is deemed faulty or if an incorrect item has been received.

We reserve the right to:

  • repair minor faults
  • replace the garment 
  • or issue a full refund

You acknowledge and agree to accept garments that have undergone minor repairs.

QUALITY CONTROL
All garments undergo thorough quality control prior to dispatch. However, due to the delicate nature of some designs, human error may occasionally occur.

We do not accept returns where damage has resulted from:

  • wear and tear
  • incorrect handling or tear
  • incorrect size selection  

If you believe your garment has a genuine manufacturing fault, please contact us. immediately.

SALE ITEMS
All sale items are final sale and are not eligible for refund, exchange, or credit note.

CREDIT NOTE
Credit notes are issued as Gift Cards, have no expiry date, and are non-refundable.

Once generated, gift cards are sent via email and text message. Please check your junk folder if not received.

UNCLAIMED PARCELS
Parcels returned to us as “Unclaimed” or “Rejected” will not be refunded.
A store credit note will be issued instead.

EXCHANGE & CREDIT NOTE PROCESS
Once your return is received, it will be inspected to ensure it meets all return conditions.

If approved:

  • you will receive and exchange or store credit note
  • exchanged items will be re-sent at the cost of by iLARIA ROMEO

If the return does not meet eligibility requirements:

  • no exchange or credit note will be issued
  • a flat return postage fee of $20.00 must be paid for the item to be returned to you

REFUND PROCESS - faulty items only eligible.
If your garment is confirmed faulty, a full refund will be processed.

Please allow 3–5 business days for your financial institution to reflect the funds once processed.

You will receive email confirmation with proof of refund once completed.
